Before heading to the location where i need to apply for extension/renewal (which is a long drive for me), i figured that asking whether things have changed the past years could be a good idea. Somewhere on this site i found information but this 'might' be outdated as this info was posted on Saturday, 30 December 2006.

Is it true that i require a medical certification (again!) when my temporary 1 year motorcycle licence expires?

Been many topics about this since 2006. Here is one from last month

It's my understanding that a medical certificate is not required (depending on the day of the week ... joke )

I did 3 month ago change motorcycle license from 1 year to 5 years. They asked medical attest, again confirmation of immigration of my address and parodox I had to pass the theory test (not only reactiontest with green and red light) fully test with about 40 questions on the computer. Parodox because I already have the 5 year driver license since 1 year for car. to make theory test is very hard because you must switch of to think logicaly !!!

Again the computer test ? blegh.... it took me 4 hours last year for this day to complete, dont want to go through that again.

Ill pop by this week with some copies of passport n such only, hope im lucky and they just accept this only

Med forn is needed for renewal of temps.... So motorbike will need the med. I did it about 2 weeks ago etc. I was renewing a 5 year and had to do the reaction test and , watch the safety VDO. For us Phuket folks there is a good laugh. A section on traffic circles that woould keep you at Ha Yek Chalong for a life time.

I needed my house paper so be prepared. Rmemeber that if yo are a rented tis eash just go over to Immi takes only a few minutes. The new building is veryh good!
