Other than riding them to the end of their route or making the driver mad again with my stumbling Thai - how can I find out where songthaew routs run? Are they published anywhere?

Origin and destination, and usually, intermediate points, are painted on the left side of the truck. No published maps or routes that I am aware of.

Sometimes have painted on the vehicle or a sign in the window.

All I know is I catch a cream one to the end of the road that I live on, or stay on it and get off near the Mall.

Usually have the routes painted on the side of the vehicle, or on a placard on the lower passenger side of the windscreen.

Almost always written in Thai.

When I first came to Thailand, I would ride one until I could not suffer the anxiety anymore. Get off, cross the road, and ride one heading back to where I thought I got on in the first place.

Sometimes you have to live life on the edge.....

There's a stop at the corner of Saladaeng and Saladaeng Soi 1 that heads up to Rama 4, then left, then u-turn and stops at the Rama 4 entrance to Lumpini park. My son and I ride it to the park, but I've never gone further. I want to know if it turns left on Wireless or keeps going down Rama 4...and how for doesit keep going. Wanted to go all the way to Carrefour/Big C if possible.
