Fishing Stope Update

Featured Replies

I certainly haven;t visited all the shops but many. SportsWorld is limited and into spinning gear. Two shops on Vises were interesting. I had a Penn Int'lfor 38,000 Baht... I said Pang (shich that price is and they replied that I was a cheap Farang....the Nanai shop has a limited selection. In Phuket town there are a few. The on across from HM Queem's park is limited but has a fair selelction of trools gear but the real are high with good prices on rods and tackle. The two near to China town are a mix of high and low with sime super pang trooling reels.

My first stop a few weeks ago was the one on Chofa East not too far up from the Chalong Police. Same side of the street... Has the best selection and to the contrary of many previous posts is NOT the most expensive. They have the most complete selection of both spinning, bait casting and deep sea trooling I found... prices are ok and he made it clear there are no copies. A number of the lower end Penn reels are copys from China. Also this shop sell refurbished Penn Intls will a lifetime guarantee on service and parts.

One thing I'm having a hard time finding is a left handed trolling reel. An I want a 2 speed set up. the shop last mentioned is working on it for me as some reels can be converted to Left side. Don't pay a premiun and the manufactures make left and rigth at the same price. Also in you are a Rawai Beach Fishing Club Member you'llget 10% of odeers above 1000 baht. A similar coupon is on their Web site. Did I miss a shop???
