Thai PM Yingluck Might Have Made A Blunder By Ignoring Burma's Aung San Suu Kyi

There's no money in good causes and clearly no money in human rights or helping to remove a junta that deals under the table and creates massive wealth for Shin Corps, Mr. Taksin and beileve it or not the members of his family. Those same members who are now returning to their old posts of running the country.

So more of the same old same old until we finally have another yellow seige, another circus with elephant in the room as guest of honour, and another period where at last democracy seems to have replaced demo-crazy.

That will then be followed by another poxy proxy distant relative of you know who although you will then have a choice over which you know you choose [ that's more demon-ocracy for you] and then they can resurrect even more dubious deals with the dubious generals of a country that the rest of the world shuns but that Thailand Shins.

Next.

"Political conflict in Burma, notably between the government and ethnic minorities, poses a lot of troubles to Thailand."

Why would Yingluck want to stir up problems for Thailand when things appear to be progressing slowly in the right direction?

1) I do not recall AV going bonkers about Mrs. Suun Kyi being released from house arrest or even loosing a word on the matter, on the day the whole (democratic) world rejoiced. as last seen when Mandela was freed!

2) IF she would have met with The Lady, how many of you would have bashed her for a cheap popularity stunt?

Yingluck is a novice politician, a novice minister, and the only democratically elected politician in history - certainly recent - to assume the prime post with absolutely no political experience of any description.

So, just who is advising this novice leader?

It's almost as if The Nation wants to parody itself. I'm all for embarrassing Than Shwe and his fellow uglies over their treatment of Aung San Suu Kyi. But why would any Thai government stir things up over this? They just don't. None of them. The Nation trying to create a problem over this lessens The Nation's credibility another notch.

"So far, Yingluck has not yet said a single word to support Aung San Suu Kyi and political reform in Burma."

why would she? She needs burma to buy product from the cronies (last time it was satellites from her brother), using taxpayers' money. and for that to happen, there must not be any political reform.

I'm curious to know what progress is being made and which way is right?
