12-year-old Indonesian boy arrested for series of sex attacks

JOGJAKARTA, INDONESIA (BNO NEWS) -- A 12-year-old Indonesian boy was arrested earlier this week for sexually abusing up to six young children, among them four of his playmates, local authorities said on Saturday.

The shocking case was discovered after one of the victims complained of genital pain, prompting a number of people being questioned and an investigation which led to the arrest of the young boy, according to the Jakarta Globe.

According to Slemen police official Adjutant Commander Danang Kuntadi, the 12-year-old boy was previously arrested and has since admitted to sexually abusing six children, although only four of them have so far been identified. One of the victims is a four-year-old child.

Few details about the case have been released, including the genders of the victims involved.

Danang said the boy, whose identity has not been released, will be charged and tried as an adult under the Child Protection Law, which carries heavy sentences. However, the official said the court will take his age into consideration and could send him to a rehabilitation center instead of prison.

In addition, the young offender has told police that he was previously sexually abused by an adult male when he was 10 years old. Adjutant Commander Danang underlined the importance of the case and the overall fight against child sex abuse.

Very sad if the boy was himself a victim of sexual abuse and then turned to victimizing others.

Not sure if this is the sort of thing that should be posted on TV considering the juvenile mentality that tends to emerge in comments made by the disproportionate number of immature Asian-bashers who seem to be drawn to this board.

very sad story indeed. Dont even want to think of the number of cases that go unreported. Perversion is an evil that corrupts the young.
