Anyone know if it's possible to get from Suvarnabhumi down to Sukumvit Nana Soi 4 area. I'm flying into BKK from Chiang Mai on Frida and want to make a quick pit stop down to my old hunting grounds. Is it possible or am I going to be trapped at Suvarnabhumi until my international flight leaves the next day?

Am I missing something in the question?

Exit Suvarnabhumi, get taxi to Soi 4, get pissed, get laid, get taxi to Suvarnabhumi, get going.

You'll be arriving on a domestic flight so no Immigration or Customs.

Enjoy

I guess you're wondering about the flooding situation in Bangkok.

As of Tuesday night, there is nothing stopping you from getting to Nana and back from "Soyouwannaboomboom"

Nobody knows what the status of flooding will be in 72 hours.

However, I live near the airport and can pick you up in my own car and take you to Nana and pay for your room and deliver you back for your flight out......

All for only 5000 baht.

BTS Skytrain Airport link into Phrya Thai BTS Station -> BTS Nana 3 stops from there. lets you off at Soi 6.

Only discovered the airport link before flying out from my last trip to Thailand - I won't be taking a taxi to/from Suvarnabhumi again.

Sukhumvit and Suvarnabhum are in areas described as being "moderate risk areas that did not flood in 1995 but face risk this year. Possible flooding to 50cm" on the map in a major English language Thai paper on Thursday morning.

Once it gets out of the airport terminal, the Airport train is high level all the way, as is the connection to BTS (and BTS itself of course). If the Airport Express is running when you arrive (or City Line if you want to save 50ish baht each way at the expense of 10 more minutes) you will at least have a chance to assess the situation from a height when you arrive at Nana!

My guess is that you would be ok, but guess it is.
