Will a quad-band phone with the following specs work on Thai voice and data networks, specifically with AIS. ?

General 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900

3G Network HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100

Thanks!

Yes. It would work on all GSM networks here; voice, SMS, 2G (GSM data: GPRS/EDGE), and AIS's 3G network as well as TOT's 3G network. It would not work on the DTAC or Truemove H 3G networks.

Looks like a T-Mo (USA) model.

Indeed it is!

These are the specs for the AT&T (USA) model.

GSM Quad-band: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz

UMTS Tri-band: 850/1900/2100 MHz

I reckon this one will be only good for EDGE/GPRS and no 3G connectivity in Thailand. yes?

It will work with EDGE/GPRS and 3G offered by True/True-H

Forgot to mention. It will also work on TOT's 3G and DTAC's 3G networks. It would not work on AIS 3G networks.
