Saw a blue taxi tonight with Bangkok plates.

Was he here on holiday because of the floods?

Tried to stop him but the car was full.

If you see him, try to flag him and ask if he goes by the meter.

With all the floods in BKK, many people have left & headed to safer places.Samui has yellow taxis, BKK has pink, blue, green etc.....

One of these BKK taxis has been seen on the island, they do appear from time to time, in most probability the owner & his family getting away.

This is what this conversation is all about.

We are on a very slippery slope if Trump Administration continues this rhetoric. The last regime who spoke like this were the Nazis who blamed genetics for the flaw of those whom they targeted for extermination, and look where that ended up. Genocide. The GF gets it, assuming it's not been used for medical reasons to help me not to die, I'm a huge believer in keeping at least 6 months cash in-country as an "Oops fund" so the fact that this covers my extension requirements is a bonus. I get maximising returns on paper but most people at retirement have probably moved a large percentage of their investments into lower yielding/gaining/safer assets, having cash in the bank is just a part of that. As always... To each his own.
