I have a friend who is looking for a generator. Requirements are 8+ KVA and auto start. Budget approx 40,000 baht.

We have tried Supot ( they have nothing smaller than one that would run a village)

HomePro - 3 in stock, 2 not up to spec and the third one at 110,000 baht (12.5 KVA)

Any ideas where to buy please Oh Wise Ones? Have any of you seen some in your travels?

The problem seems to be 'no deliveries from Bangkok - all generators are being bought in Bangkok'

Try Homemart in maenam, an 8.5KVA should be about 30,000 baht but with an auto switch over add 25,000 baht.

It's cheaper to buy the 8.5 KVA and get your own electrician to put an auto switch in.
