Looking For Nice And Unexpensive Private Hospital In Bangkok

Hello,

Can you advice me a unexpensive and nice private hospital in the center of Bangkok ? Cheaper than Bangkok Hospital, i usually go to Mission Hospital but i would like to change because my doctor isn’t available the day i stay in Bangkok. I need to see a specialist of nose, eyes, throat (Otolaryngology) and do a echography.

Thanks a lot for your advice !

From my personal experience I can recommend "Ramkhamhaeng Hospital" on Ramkhamhaeng Road, about at Soi 32.

It's a private hospital, well updated with modern equipment and reasonable prices. They recently added a new building with new clinics.

However, I have no personal experience in ORL.

The problem might be flooding coming closer to this area after the Klong Sam Wa sluices having been damaged. So might want to call first.

The following comes highly recommended, it doesn't have fountains in the lobby and nice painting on all the walls but hey, what do you want, a good hospital with excellent doctors or a nice hotel type environment where the doctors only heal sick people if they're paid enough.

Totally concur

Ramkamhaeng Hospital is where I go to get my Opthalmic (glasses) prescriptions.

Professional and English speaking, you would be hard pressed to find better.

yeah, have to agree here. it's a 5 min walk from my home and i always go there. it doesnt offer the luxuries the big hospitals have, but they have good doctors and wont cost you can arm and a leg.

I'd also add in the Rama 9 hospital - really good and not expensive, private room with flat screen is about 3'000 baht per night plus medicines, doctors fees. Clean and modern with good doctors.

I have used SUKHUMVIT HOSP., Ekkamai several times and have always received good treatment at reasonable prices. They are located just a few steps from the Ekkamai BTS, exit#3.

Like most hospitals, they do mark their prescription prices up considerably so I always take my scripts elsewhere.

Mission Hospital has one of the very few, and perhaps only, U.S. licensed American MDs practicing in Thailand, that being Nick Walters, who's an excellent general physician.

But the OP asked about ENT docs... BNH Hospital in the Silom area isn't one of the least expensive hospitals, rather, it's one of the more expensive. But it also has one of the best ENT doctors I've found in Thailand, Dr. Pasakorn Thavornant... For anything sinus related, I'd say he's among the tops, and that's after having mediocre experiences with a variety of ENT docs at various other places including Bumrungrad.

For a specialty like ENT, I'd argue that matters most is the individual doctor more than the hospital, particularly for outpatient visits.

BTW, I too have had general good outpatient experiences at St. Louis... but not with any particular ENTs there.
