ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE BUREAU OF THE ROYAL HOUSEHOLD CONCERNING THE ROYAL VISIT OF HER ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCESS CHULABHORN MAHIDOL TO THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA

Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol will pay a Royal Visit to the Republic of India between the 21st and the 29th of November, B.E. 2548 ( 2005)

During this visit, Her Royal Highness will participate in and deliver a Keynote Address at the Conference on “Woman’s Impact on Science and Technology in the New Millennium” held by the Third World Organization for Women in Science (TWOWS) in Bangalore.

Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Mahidol will depart from the Royal Thai Air Force Headquarters Air Terminal, Don Muang, on Monday the 21st of November, B.E.2548 (2005) by an aircraft provided by the Royal Thai Air Force scheduled to leave at 15.00 hours and will return by the same aircraft scheduled to arrive at the Royal Thai Air Force Headquarters Air Terminal, Don Muang, On Tuesday, the 29th of November B.E. 2548 (2005) at 17.00 hours.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE BUREAU OF THE ROYAL HOUSEHOLD CONCERNING THE OFFICIAL VISIT OF HER ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCESS MAHA CHAKRI SIRINDHORN TO THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA

Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will pay an Official Visit to the Republic of India from the 18th to the 23rd of November, B.E. 2548 (2005).

During this trip, Her Royal Highness will meet with His Excellency the President of the Republic of India as well as His Excellency the Vice President of the Republic of India. On this occasion, His Excellency the President of the Republic of India will present to Her Royal Highness “The 2004 Indira Gandhi Award for Peace, Disarmament and Development” on the 19th of November, B.E. 2548 (2005) in New Delhi. Thereafter, Her Royal Highness will visit Orissa State where Her Royal Highness will see many places of historical, religious and archaeological importance. Her Royal Highness will also observe activities in various fields which will be beneficial for the country’s development.

Princess of Thailand to be given Indira Gandhi Award on Nov. 19

New Delhi, Nov. 18 (PTI): Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand will be presented the prestigious Indira Gandhi Award here on November 19 by President A P J Abdul Kalam.

The Princess, who arrives today on a six-day visit, will meet Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, and Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed, during her stay here.

She will visit Bhubaneshwar and other Buddhist heritage sites and other places like Jain monastery, Udaygiri Caves besides travelling to Koraput and Kolkata, External Affairs Ministry spokesman Navtej Sarna, told reporters here on Thursday.
