Haad Yai-Do They Spray Streets For Roaches?

Featured Replies

Just out of curiosity. Stayed overnight in Hyai-centre a day or 2 ago. Early in the morning I heard some cityvan doing the street-cleaning-I did not see, but assumed this was just water. It had also rained the eve before. When stepping out on the street and going toward train-station, I noted millions of big dead cockroaches-first I thought the hotel might have sprayed or so-but they were everywhere around that block-and not the next one. Hopefully noone came into my wheeling case.... But now I wonder-does the city really spray every now and then with poison roach? Any other explanation. Sorry about the contents of the topic-but if you libve in tropics, anyone knows this is part of that world.

I've lived in Songkhla for more than twenty years and I have never seen dedicated teams spraying in an attempt to kill roaches. The local government does however, spray for mossies on a fairly regular basis.

If it kills the roaches then how safe it it for other creatures ,small children, pregnant women ,pets , drunks sleeping in the gutter etc etc....................In an ideal world we should have a choice as to what we get poisioned by.
