Where To Repair Gold Jewellery

Can anyone recommend any good places to repair/replace a broken 9ct gold clasp.

I asked in central but they quoted ฿2,500 which seems way over the top...

Any help much appreciated

They do not sell 9ct gold here only 24ct

There is a shop right on Chalong circle that buys all types of gold maybe they can help you

I thought 24ct gold wasn't used for jewellery as it is too soft and damages too easily?

It's actually 23 carat gold that is used in Thailand which is around 96% pure. And yes, it probably is too soft, but it's all about wearing your wealth and making sure people see it.

Opposite Phuket Garden Hotel, in Phuket Town, small open fronted shop will repair or replace as you wait, ask them for a quote, is the problem a spring loaded clasp? if so and you never need to take it off just bend it over, thats cheaper...
