November 26, 201114 yr Can someone please tell me where in Bangkok a Thai national (born in Bangkok) needs to go to make a new ID card. Also, does anyone know whether the area is currently accesible due to the floods? Thanks for any help.
November 26, 201114 yr They go to their local amphur with their blue house book, if they have moved they should get their name on the blue house book (tor bor 14) and then go to the local amphur where a new id card can be issued. Have no ideas re flooding as I am not in Bangkok.
November 26, 201114 yr visit the BMA centers at BTS Siam or Morchit to renew the IDs; they opened from 10 to 6; IDs are valid for 9 years
November 28, 201114 yr You can go to any amphur/district offices, not limit to the registered area. And ID card is valid for 6 years, the expiry date will be 1 day before your birthday in that year.
November 28, 201114 yr I've never met a Thai who don't know where to get a new ID card, assuming OP is not talking about a child.

We were doing other stuff for our visa and saw the office at BTS Siam (The north western most exit—from memory). processed in minutes. She isn't Bangkok native.
