So - an off the cuff thought. Are there problems at one of the airports?

A Bandit Airways planes has just taken off (the third since 10 pm - which is usually the last flight).

Is all well in the airways? Just sipping a nightcap and wondering what is going on.

OK something is up. Another flight out just 7 minutes since my last post.

Bearing in mind that Bandit Airways never have delayed flights...... (they just reschedule them).

Sometimes medical emergency flights take off after 10pm, but it's unlikely that so many take off. Delayed flights sounds more logic.

I doubt it Boater - these were the ATR's and Airbus jobbies (yes - they fly close enough for me to tell). I have seen the private charters and the military transporters. It's easy to spot the difference.

Just looked on a flight stat website. The last flight from BKK to USM was delayed by 90 mins arriving at 23.31 and the last flight from USM to BKK was also delayed leaving samui at 23.23 instead of 22.00. So the bandits must have had some problems yesterday.

Probably not the site iian23 uses ... but try http://www.bangkokairportonline.com/node/129 and search the route USM-BKK. Shows the delays and cancellations for today. Can't imagine BKK is the problem, as Bankok AIrways is their second biggest customer. Odd though, 2 nights running.
