just how do you recover deleted shots from memory cards, any one know,

Sandisk offer a recovery program, free if you buy one of their cards. I believe it could then be used on any card.

This is an excellent program, fast and thorough. The license is good for one year after you first register the software that comes with the card and they'll offer you "special deals" to renew your subscription.. so you don't really own it.

It's important to note that flash memory cards have their own firmware based controllers on them. This means software written for your specific card/controller.. will not only recover more files which might be more difficult to restore.. but they'll do it a lot faster too.

On a totally different note.. I think it's a lot of fun to find or buy old flash cards at garage sales and restore all the deleted/reformatted images to kinda 'look through the window' at the photography of others.
