Police arrest one-legged German believed spreading Aids

BANGKOK: -- Thai police on Friday finally arrested a German national who sparked an HIV/Akds scare last year in Chaiyaphum province. They vowed to deport the man immediately.

"Several people said they had seen Otto back in town so we investigated and detained him this morning," said Chaiyaphun Police Lt Col Kampol Nonoot in a telephone interview with Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.

Kampol said Hans-Otto Schieman, 55, had been sent to Bangkok's Immigration Bureau for immediate deportation. It was the second time Schieman was arrested for illegally entering the kingdom since his deportation in November, 2004.

Schieman was declared persona-non-grata a year ago after a Chaiyaphum Court found him guilty of overstaying his visa by three years, and ordered him deported from the kingdom.

Schieman, born in Schweinfurt, Germany, created a media sensation last year in Chaiyaphum, 270 kilometres northeast of Bangkok, after his Thai wife accused him of infecting her with HIV and of having affairs with many other Chaiyaphum girls.

Schieman, who has only one leg, never submitted to an HIV/Aids test to determine his condition since Thai law prohibited involuntary blood tests.

At his trial on November 19, 2004, Schieman denied his guilt in overstaying his visa, claiming he is now a Thai citizen.

Police first arrested Schieman on September 27 at the prompting of his former wife, who told community leaders she contracted the deadly virus from her husband. The ex-wife also informed authorities that her husband was fond of purchasing unprotected sex from young school girls.

In the end authorities only brought charges of visa violations against Schieman, barring him from returning to Thailand.

More than 560,000 Thais have died of Aids over the past two decades and another 540,000 are living with the virus.

I remember this story. Was it not all just heresay from his wife that he had aids and had infected other people. I do not believe a test was ever done and no-one came forward to say he had infected them.

Correct me if I am wrong.

But I remember he was a very weird looking character.

Why did the BP have to include that last line ?

Are they trying to insinuate that Otto has been that busy ?

He will be back, what does he have to loose, he's going to die from AIDS so he won't care, he will find a way to get back and cause some more problems.

There should be a way to pay him back for what he has done

There should be a way to pay him back for what he has done

Remove his passport, his savings and his other leg.

That sounds like a good idea, how about removing the penis at the same time, that should make him pretty safe :o

Errrm, I think not...

Think government line 'statistical spin' as regards the reality of HIV/AIDS in Thailand. :o

Surely in his condition it's difficult to get your leg over?

Deport him and black list - problem solved!

trying to defend himself is difficult without a leg to stand on......

Perhaps it's easier to get your stump over :o

Any Thai girl who sees him should surely tell him to hop it.

So, he has been barred since 2004 but has been back in the country twice since then? Doesn't Immigration check names?

Now what do we do with a piece of shit like this?

Cut him off at his legs..... :o:D

Bring a prostitute to strip in front of him,

Penetrate a needle onto his penis until he cries to hel_l,

Then chop off his remaining leg.

Fair? :o

...Then chop off his remaining leg.

Fair? :o

Absolutely not! How can you propose such a thing? How can you say chop off his left leg?

hansottoschiemann22jl.jpg

As you can see, it is perfectly OK. There's nothing wrong with it. I have absolutely nothing against his left leg. Unfortunately, neither has he.

With acknowledgements and apologies to Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, re. "the one-legged Tarzan" sketch.

Now what do we do with a piece of shit like this?

Put him in a Pattaya high rise without a parachute.

He is easy to identify. Every time he opens his mouth he puts his foot in it.....................

..........................................and falls over.

Put him in a Pattaya high rise without a parachute.

Take his crutches away & ask him to clap.

Schieman, born in Schweinfurt, Germany :o:D:D

Surely they would have a file at immigration?

It's Germany's responsibility as well to stop this maniac.

Falsifying a new passport....etc.

Somebody obviously gave him a leg up to get over the fence !!!!!! :D:D:o

I thought his HIV status was yet to be determined and that the only legal problems he has been having is with immigration....the rest is all speculation...or have I missed something.
