Hi!

We're planning a ride to Malaysia and will enter via Sadao and are thinking about returning to Thailand via Betong and on to Yala.

Does anyone know the condition of Route 4106 from Betong to Yala in Southern Thailand?

We'll be on road bikes so a bit rough is not a problem, but we'd like to avoid dirt! Also, what's the risk of getting blown up by insurgents?

Finally, who would I need to contact to learn the hours of operation for the Thai-Malay Border Crossing at Betong?
