Hi all,

Nokair changed my flights....arriving Don muang instead of Swampy.....got a 3 hour time frame between arrival Don Muang 12h40....and my international departure at Swampy 15h40....

Is it possible to make it...?

What's the fastest way between the airports and how long it takes...?

Regards and wish someone can give me some good advice....

licklips.gif Yes it's possible but there are some things you can do to make it easier.

1. As someone else said....take a taxi and ask the driver to take the tollway...and you will pay the toll. Don't worry about a few extra baht...take the fastest way to get there even if it costs a little more.

2. See, IF it is possible to do it, that your baggage is checked through to your final destination (your international flight) at the start of your domestic flight. I realise they may not want to do that....but ask anyhow. If they can check your baggage through to your final international destination, it will save you all the time and hassle of picking up in DM and carrying it through swampy. But i realise they may not wantc to do that.

3. And, IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT, fly business class on your international leg. I know that's expensive....but you will have a much faster check-in and far less hassle.

Anyway 3 hours should be enough...because it shouldn't take more than a hour from DM to swampy....but don't dwadle.

Nok-Air's website says that they will fly to/from Swampy until 5th March, then revert to Don Muang, for all flights to/from Bangkok.

Pity, as it was helpful to be able to connect via Swampy, to overseas-flights.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the good advice.....but still think i can't make it coz a little delay will ruin my international flight.....and i also have a bicycle bag with me so it will take longer to receive my luggage i think coz it's out of size luggage....

The good news is i emailed Nokair yesterday with my problem and they just replied to me: can change my flights to another day or they can refund my ticket without charges....!

So i will ask refund and book me a Thai air flight phuket-Bkk...its a 1000 bath extra but then i'm sure to get my flight without hassle and taxi costs....

Think it's a good customer service from nokair to offer me that solution....

Anyway,thanks all of you again!

They can't do that if your next flight is on an other airport.

I don't think that it's "a good customer service from Nok Air" as it is now more costly for you to go where you want to, because of the departure airport change that this company has imposed for your domestic flight.

I am in a similar situation than you and I am not happy (so far) with what theyare offering me: just a refund for my domestic return flight but no compensation for the inconvenience, no payment of the difference in price for buying another flight ticket with a departure from Suvarnabhumi the same day or to pay the taxi fare from Suvarnabhumi to Don Mueang.

If I was the one who requested any change for my domestice flight, Nok Air would charge me extra fees, but this company (apparently) offers no compensation for its customers when making such a change!

It's a moot point now for this individual case, but of course they can transfer baggage between airports, as long as the airlines have an inter-line agreement. It's also possible that you need to buy the tickets for the complete journey on one ticket. I've had had baggage transferred between Gatwick and Heathrow.

I wouldnt trust it on a regular basis. even if they were competent enough to send luggage to different airport, What if the luggage missed the flight? Good for the op to catch this early. The refund probably wont come in time either. but i could be wrong.

Does any company do that for economy customers?

YES-and notably that airline that is often so maligned by vicious TV-users; Air Asia. For a period, anyone becoming such transit-difficulties due to their transfer to DMK per 1/10, had the chance to rebook-without any additional payment, to a later/earlier flight (if you had to fly into BKK to catch another flight from BKK). Also there are still signs that even free transfer buses will be organised as per 1/10-either by AA or the AOT.

Sometimes this commercial world is not so malicious as many rather would believe it to be. Now they cannot even complain and make more postings.
