Popular Post Jingthing
TANN is reporting that the police have found IRANIAN currency on him. For those unaware, Hezbollah in Lebanon is joined at the hip with the Iranian regime, as is the murderous regime in Syria. It makes no difference if this Lebanese is an Iranian national or not. Same movement. For all intents and purposes, Iran and Israel are already at war. Hezbollah is one of Iran's proxies. I don't get this target except as pure terrorism with no logical target. The attacks in India and Georgia had logical targets. That all said, there are reports that Hezbollah (read Iran proxy) is involved in Thailand's Muslim population teaching jihadist propaganda. So who is to say at this point whether this terror event is related to international conflicts, internal Thai Muslim issues, or both? Jingthing
*Deleted quote edited out* Yes, very true, but if those terrorists are taking that kind of action to Bangkok that is big news. I would bet this was terrorism at this point, but to say exactly what it was about I think it's too early. In simple terms, related to the international events (Iran and proxies vs. Israel/USA), related to the very long standing internal Southern Thai conflict, or somehow is there a move to merge those two things? Popular Post mrtoad
US Embassy get to say "Told you so" now - B4stards chose a school to set it off outside! Why infront of a Thai Local school? Next time farang wants to throw bombs, go do it in Kao San Road. Thais should not involved with your Islam / Christian struggle. You really are a Tool of the highest order - Islam / Christian struggle? What's that all about then down in the South of Thailand? It is Malay vs Thai. Not Islam vs Buddhist. Keep digging, you're only showing yourself up.

Maybe not for long - PR is not something practiced here as in Europe and the States, somehow I can't see the state here protecting the rights of Muslims (especially foreign ones) over vengeful Thais. Let's hope this was a lone nutter and it asll blows over.

Chulalongkorn Hospital is a long long way away in Silom, amid Bangkok traffic, it could easily take 45 mins. There are lots of nearer hosipitals, like banrungrad or Samitivate etc.
