Change from Visa Exempt to Non-O
As an aside to the above, Jack. Around 12 years ago after apply for a further 1 year extension, my current extension expired, and I was in the 30 day under consideration period when I was notified of a family bereavement. I informed my IO and purchased a re-entry permit to cover the 30 day under consideration period. They stated provided I returned by the expiry date of the 30 day period it was fine. I returned two day prior to that 30 day expiry date, which raised some eyebrows on re-entry, the entry clearance officer calling over a supervisor who looked at my extension stamp, the under consideration stamp and the re-entry permitted. The supervisor did ask if I preferred a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp, which I declined, shrugged and muttered something to the officer who duly stamped me in for 2 days. The following day I visited my local IO, filed a new TM30 and received my new extension stamp. The IO stated it was approved a week previously, but they were expecting me. -

Thailand Looks to Bolster Suvarnabhumi Airport as Southeast Asia's Top Transit Hub
There is insufficient demand. The existing pod stations are not used to full capacity. I pass by during peak and off seasons and there are many vacancies. On what basis do you say there is demand? The Miracle Transit hotel on floor 3 almost always has vacancy as does the landside Novotel. There are 50+ hotels within 4km of the airport. They range in price from 500 baht to 5,000 baht+. What is it that you want? -

Thai police ‘tweet’ out arrests in illegal bird trade bust
At USD 85 each these birds aren't going cheep. As with the macaque confiscation threaded earlier, the trem 'bulbul' under CITES is a Classifier. If the birds reported here are illegal they would be Straw-headed BulbulStraw-headed Bulbul (Pycnonotus zeylanicus) recently moved to Appendix I of CITES. -

I don’t think so. Neither does Sky news. By all means, keep reading your propaganda. That’s all you have left. -

UK Pensioners in Thailand Face New Scrutiny Over Pension Fraud
And I wasn't calling you a liar. Now apart from DWP/HMRC knowing when I last signed a phone contact, which I find rather frightening that the Government hold details like that in a data base, I actually have three contracts. The land line, my mobile phone contract and my second mobile phone contract (actually for my son). So being pedantic which phone contract are they referring to. Bearing in mind I have no idea which of the three was the last one or which of the three they are referring to. Before anybody says why do I have a land line for the wifi in the house. -

Accusations of Hypocrisy as Private Jet use Doubles Travelling to Cop29
Cop this one : UN spin-offs are in large measure designed to further the interests of narcissistic global power-grabbers. There are laws for them, and others for us. Their programmes are tailored accordingly: to disguise hideous end-goals as something the average citizen sees as desirable. At least until the changes are virtually irreversible. To exemplify: study the "altruistic" non-governmental funding of the WHO. And the influence this has on that organisation's priorities.
