Phuket Work Permit

Featured Replies

A friend of mine who is going to apply for a work permit, has been told that he needs a police clearance. Does anyone know about this??

I myself have never had to provide a police clearance these past 10 years. But a friend of mine who is a US citizen was told he need a police clearance FROM THE US GOV.

I have never needed one but I beleive if your applying for a teaching job, you may need one; good idea...

Yes there is a basic police clearance required for teachers and police volunteers but not for standard jobs

Unless the rules have changed you need a police clearance to be a member of the VTP

But not a work permit

I see TV still has so many nice people who are always looking to help their friends. Well at least its not as bad as "my friend wants to get a visa for his TGF to go to the UK/USA/Australia..

Best to gain clarification from a local Thai lawyer. My experience has been to always consult a local lawyer and for a fair fee have things done properly.
