Finding International School Job

Featured Replies

So, I am 25 years old. Went to Baylor University in Texas. Studied Business Education/ computers for secondary, with teaching certificate. I have 1 year as a TA, one year in student teaching, and have taught one year here in Bangkok, but in Kindergarten. Love it, but doesnt pay well enough.

I am looking for a new teaching job at an international school, but am having problems hearing back from schools. I have been emailing in my resume, cover letter, and a recommendation letter from my current school.

What is the best way to find something? I could really use some pointers, looking to start teaching in august, need to go home for summer. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. What type of salary should i expect to make? for me age and experience.

Thanks

Hey! Texas Aggie here! I have been looking around for an international job as well and have had several interviews and a few offers. The best thing I did was register with The International Educator (tieonline.com). There are hundreds of job postings from all over the world, and the website gives you the capability of sending all of your information to the school instantly. Also, I really wanted to try and find a job in Bangkok so I made a list of every international school I could find in the city that I felt I could be a match for and sent them my information (even if it didn't show any openings on the school's website). I heard back from a couple of schools and secured a job offer at one.

I know many people go to the job fairs, but that was not possible for me this year with my work schedule.
