I love kayaking, but don't plan to buy a car here in Thailand. That limits me to taxis, trains and other forms of public transport. As much as I would have loved a fiberglass or molded 'yak, I'm trying out an inflatable.

Now, I'm looking for a nice kayak paddle for an inflatable kayak I just brought back from China.

I'd prefer something that would break down into several pieces, but may have to settle for something longer and modify it myself.

The goal is to have a paddle that packs down to fit into a 30" duffle bag like the kayak itself.

I'm not at all interested in the cheap plastic paddles that go with cheap inflatable rafts. And I'm not good enough to appreciate the latest high tech titanium or nano-graphite 20,000 baht paddle.

Anyone know where I can buy a nice paddle, but not too nice?
