Phuket gets a larger airport

BANGKOK: -- Phuket, one of Thailand's best beach destinations, is to get a new airport terminal by 2014 with construction to begin this summer, according to the Phuket News.

The new terminal will be used for international flights and will increase the airport's capacity from 8.2 to 12.5 million passengers a year. Up to 20 planes per hour will be able to be accommodated. The terminal for national flights, meanwhile, is set to get a facelift, with the modernisation work due for completion by 2016. - dpa

Nok Air's operations returned to Don Mueang Airport yesterday [March 6] following the airport's closure in late 2011 due to severe flooding. Chilling with Crispy Baguette

The acclaimed musical trio known as Crispy Baguette DJs will be adding their blend of carefully chosen music to the ambience in the lounge area of Dusit Thani Bangkok's top floor French restaurant, D'Sens.
