Date of exit stamp if flight at 1a.m.? Recent experiences?
Immigration will want to see your boarding pass and passport, nothing else. As far as I know, the stamp in your passport will show the date you pass through immigration regardless of the time of your flight. If it was 23.50 hours on the 15th September when you pass through immigration, your departure date will be shown in your passport as 15th September regardless of your flight being at 01.00 16th September. I'm sure if this is incorrect, someone will be along to put me straight. Interesting point you raise though as in theory, you are not actually departing Thailand until the day after in the example you have quoted. -

I'm not sure the Thais can't use computers. I find their driving license system very streamlined. Within hours they issue you with a brand new driving license complete with a nice picture of yourself. When I went to apply for my Thai TIN they issued me with one within minutes. And there's the 90-reporting system, a bureaucratic waste of time from our standpoint, but it doesn't it give Thai bureaucrats plenty of computer practice? -

Man Injured by Collapsed Toilet in Pattaya Rental Room Incident
Typically Thai toilet installations involve using some sort of glue/cement to attach fixture to tiles. IMO insane. Rock back and forth at all and can break loose. The installers (won't call them plumbers) also throw away the wax gasket that links toilet with sewer pipe. They don't use those "donuts" nor do they use anchor bolts. Having a new toilet put in while I am away. I was insistent they use proper bolts and gasket. Will they do it? Here is a diagram of how it should be done so that it works and lasts... -

I was parked and a Thai driver was teaching his son to drive. He hit the front wheel arch and caused a bit of damage. He just stopped and changed back into the drivers seat and gave me a quick wai and shot off while I was checking the damage. -

The city population is now approx 58,000. If the immigrant population is 12,000-15,000 it means that the city would have had a population of 43,000-46,000. Cities that lose populations like this die. Instead, the influx of immigrants provides economic life and a future tax base. More importantly, it doesn't stress housing. One of the biggest problems in the USA is affordable housing and Springfield was filled with vacant residential properties. The influx of immigrants will save the city.
