The only place I have been is here

http://www.andamanclub.com/

It’s an older resort, probably built in the 60s, but I like it. Golf, gambling, food, drinks, quiet. Catch the boat from their own pier on the Thai side. I am not much of a gambler, so I don’t know about that. But, like I said, it is quiet. There is no shopping there other than what they have. It’s an island with a resort.

The first one is a bungalow resort place in the centre of Ranong, along the main drag,

OK place, cheap, clean.

Several OK restaurants within 150-200 meters.

Number 2 is probably the best hotel in Ranong, fairly big place, not expensive.

Not in the centre.

The last one is not cheap, you can walk to the centre.

Nice place, have rooms/bungalows with hot water springs in the room.

I guess the hot springs that are up in the hillside on the other side of PhetKaseem

from the centre is the main touristattraction. There are some quite nice hotels over

there aswell.

The fish market is quite big, worth a visit.

Ranong is a relatively quiet place. I like it though.

The OP asked about gambling, which is illegal in Thailand.
