Samui Set For Direct China Flights

Featured Replies

The resort destination of Samui is about to get a boost in it's international airlift with direct flights from China.

Leading mainland carrier China Southern Airlines will operate two weekly flights from Guangzhou starting March 20th.

Service will be on Tuesday and Friday and utilize and Airbus A319 aircraft.

According to our market research at C9 Hotelworks China in 2011 was the leading growth market to Samui with a 136% rise over the previous year based on visitor arrivals.

This month will also see Bangkok Airways commence daily flights from the island to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia

.

Just looked on their web site but could not find Samui to Guangzhou !

Fancied a trip to see what it's like there.

Oh no. Samui is a upscale Farang tourist site with lots of 5/6 stars hotel (Conrad etc).

Looks like it is going to be turn to a low class non-English speaking asian destination serving "Chow Fun/Chow Mien" for the mass Zero-Baht tourist with screaming babies. So cheap that some even brought their own bottle, fill from the tap, and claims it is minernal water.

This is good news for those who rent out villas, wink.png but.....

..............................bolt down the kitchen utensils and get in some futons for the extended families. hit-the-fan.gif

Not so far of the mark, I've had loads of inquiries, from Chinese/ Taiwanese for prices on my Double bed rooms, for 6 guests.

China Southern are a cheap airline, this will make it easier to get to Samui cheaply.
