Ao Sane

Hi all

Does anyone know of a place called Ao Sane (if that is the correct English spelling), supposedly on the southern-most part of the island.

Is it a really small place or a lot of tourists?

Ao Sane ... closed Ni han Beach (in right side..pass Le Royal Meridien Phuket Yacht Club ) , Ao sane is a small quiet beach

Just heard on the grapevine that Ao Sane beach will soon be closed to public access and developed into luxury accommodation. Another locals beach closed off for the pleasure of a wealthy few......

this private beach nonsense really gets on my tits.

All beaches in Thailand are supposed to be public property and i'm sick of these luxury hotels and developments who buy all the beachfront land close off public access.

Nope. It's perfectly legal. They can't stop you going by boat though.

That is sad. We went there for a day out when the Mrs' family visited over Xmas and it really is a nice beach. The snorkling is great (saw lobsters!)
