Guys,

was wondering what I can expect to sell my GP for? Bought it at 2.1m last year, put another 0.2m in it to make it perfect....and have it up for sale at about 1.9m, but seems to get little interest....:(

it has only 16,000 miles on it. Need 4 seats as I sell both of my cars (practical one: FOCUS TDCI and fun one MINI GP) in order to drive only 1 car: GOLF GTI.

Any info or direction would be much appreciated.

It is a blast to drive by the way, fun factor very high....

cheers,

frank

Looks like it been made to look awful!

Good luck selling it.

There is another 440 Mini Coopers for sale on a local website.

Guess they have gone out of fashion. :)

well, if MINIs go out of fashion, so will 911....., but I do think they are here to stay as icons. The GP is the "Ultra" Mini, most powerful MINI ever. EVO Magazine gave it 5 stars, which they very rarely do! So, I can tell you this GP is not a fashion status, manual gear and 218hp....it needs a firm hand and leg.

And yes, it is made to look like that....awful to you, is beautiful to me! rolleyes.gif

Or... in the current gray market crackdown, there's lots of owners liquidating for fear they're about to get lumped with a nasty tax bill ;)

Yawn. They are NOT mini's, they are a small motor car designed by BMW that BOUGHT the name. Mini but they they are not a mini.

Maybe the folk that buy this type of car don't buy second hand?

Sure, something to it...but there are those who buy Lamborghinis and Ferraris, even 2nd hand, in Bangkok....and honestly I think those cars make no sense there at all....than a MINI GP is nearly practical....;)....actually it is, because no seats behind, you actually have quite a good luggage or shopping area.

Every now and then I see a cool Mini that sounds good and think maybe I should buy one...

But then I see how many are available and how expensive they are and I lose all interest.

I also don't get the Countryman or the latest Coupe style Mini.

I think your Mini would be fun for fast, curvy roads, but I think I'd feel a bit "girly" sitting in it at the lights.

You need to find the right guy for a performance Mini, or drop your price to 1.5mill.

Coming back to the lack of rear seat. yes there is extra luggage space but if I wish to sacrifice the rear seat in a "hot" hatch, I would prefer it to be because the designer put the engine there!.

Hi VanillaSky, are you interested in a trade. I'm bored of my 5-series and thinking of turning it in to get a mini for the wife. smile.png

Hi PostmasterGeneral, sure your wife can handle a manual...? (no offense, but if she is Thai, pretty few drive manuals, and this one is surely a rather heavy clutched one....performance car and so on.

Don't think I want a 5 series though...if I don't get the price I just keep it for my weekend fun...the exhaust burble is quite addictive and this GP in my view does not sound girly at all...I looks just a little "understated macho, though with style" in the most positive way...hehe. If you have a X3 2.0 D that could be something though...!

The idea that Thai women don't drive manuals is ridiculous. Off the top of my head I know at least 8 that all learned with a manual and 6 of them still drive manuals. Of course, once most people drive an automatic in traffic there’s no going back. Even stating to see a few taxis with AT.

Seems to me it wasn’t that long ago that AT was relatively scarce here.

Wife's not Thai, but manual is a killer anyway. And sorry no X3 in my garage. Hope you can sell that JCW soon though. :)
