OliverKlozerof
Can I ask a favor of those of you using Windows? I had to re-create a website for a company here in Thailand. I did it on a Mac; forgetting that most people are using MS Internet Explorer as their main browser. Well, I found several things I had to fix to get it to look right in IE (explorer). I think I've worked out most of the bugs, but I wonder if you'd have a look for me and let me know if you find anything strange. (If you find something, pls tell me which version of Windows and IE you're using, what exactly looks strange, etc.) Here's the new test site: http://davesguitarplanet.com/GMShtml/ (For comparison, here's the one I copied, which, I admit, looks a little bit nicer: http://globalmenusolutions.com/ ) Thanks tons. CharlieH
Top graphic isn't centralised in any program, if that was your intention then all looks fine. Top graphic also takes up 1/3 of viewable area, very "in your face", in my opinion. http://globalmenusolutions.com/ is centralised Edited March 22, 2012 by CharlieH

OliverKlozerof
Thanks, all. buenavad: The link you gave looked interesting, but I currently have Parallels with 2 VMs: Win7/IE8 and WinXP/IE7. So, I've gotten good practice with these, but some Windows users have reported seeing things I haven't seen.

I'm just copying the original site, which was based on a Joomla (a content management system) template. Someone else also thought that part was too big. I may let my bosses know as we go about making changes.

By "centralised" I mean the picture at the top is not in the centre of the screen, its offset to the left as is the header, the other group of 15 pictures is centered correctly. IE 9 will "almost" display things correctly to standards, so will appear much the same as safari/firefox/chrome/opera. IE6,7 and 8 display things different to every other browser, plus differently between each version.
