Manila Embassy

I know it may be a bit optimistic to think that even though negative reports have been coming from Manila for "decades," there haven't been any recent posts about the Thai embassy there. Has anyone been recently? I'll be applying for a tourist visa. I've almost spent seven months here (30 day visa exemption + two 60+30 tourist visas from Savannakhet with no issues), and so I'm worried about that whole 90/180 thing. I know it's technically not in effect anymore but from what I hear the folks at Manila don't give a.

I have no employer, nor Thai bank account. I've been doing the monastery thing for the last six months, so income was not an issue, and in fact going to the immigration offices in white robes and a shaven head made visa matters a real breeze.

But question is; really how hard is it to get the visa in Manila? Is it hard, very hard, or actually impossible, no matter how much I pester them?
