Bangkok to Had Lek / Koh Kong border crossing

1. Bus from Bangkok to Trat (~170 baht)

2. Van from Trat to the Thai border town of Had Lek (100 baht). Departs every 30 minutes or so.

3. Buy your visa and walk into Cambodia.

4a. If you are going to take the road, touts and drivers will approach you as soon as you cross the border.

4b. If you are going to take the ferry or stay in Koh Kong, take a motodup into Koh Kong City or to the ferry dock (50 baht for moto or shared taxi. 200 baht for private taxi)

I need to use my Second Entry soon!

I'm on a Tourist Visa with Double Entries so I would like to know if Cambodia is a good choice!

Normally I'm going to Lao but if can do it in Cambodia, I'll take this direction and at the same time spend some days on Koh Chang or other islands around!

Thanks

If you dont need to go to the Trat area for any other reason ,and you are planning to drive your own vehicle, Pom Nam Rong in Chantaburi province will save you at least 2 hours for the return trip. If you want specific details on how to get there just send me a PM.

I have the same visa and go to there all the time you just go to the thai imigration post to leave thailand and get stamped out and then you walk to the cambodian side which is on the left side and go into the door that has visa on it. Fill in the form and give them one photo & money then after you get your passport back with a full page visa you then go outside to the right side where there is a window and you fill in a departure card and hand over your passport and 300 baht to leave cambodia and they stamp you out. Then you walk back to the thai check point and fill in a new Tm card and they will stamp you in for another 90 days free of charge. :o
