Well, it is holiday season but... there were a few farangs and quite a few non-Thais waiting, but at least we got a call 1000 saying they wouldn't be coming (from Ranong) today - the schedule is every second Tuesday of the month.

Many of us hot-footed it over to Ranong by fair means or foul (there were extra mini-buses packed, with Burmese) where the Immigration officials treated us (well, the farangs at least) with exemplary kindness.

Just beware those of you planning to do a Tesco next month Tuesday May 8 - it is sandwiched between two holidays... AA
