I have also riding over 2000km without any problems. I have made the Mae Hong song Loop with my girlfriend and it was a really nice trip. I am really happy with this bike and I like it.

I also would like to customize this bike a little bit. Any ideas ? Maybe I will begin with some stickers on the Exhaust..

I can't remember who asked about how to raise the head lights. I too wanted to raise it a bit. It's a little knob on the right side just being the headlights

Cheers for that mate!! I will go and have a play and see if I can sort it out....

Happy to help. I don't know about the rest of the rkv's. But mine was a pain to get to the knob. Wires were in the way. I think the culprit was the installation of the hid lights.

I'm considering cutting the rubber stopper on the center stand or maybe remove the stand all together as mine is real low. I know i won't be able to lean it that much for it to touch but since our roads are in such horrible conditions here just makes my hair raise just thinking about it.

I'll try to adjust my light as it points just in front of the wheel so not much use on unlit roads.

I doubt we'll ever touch down the centre stand as it would need to well over and the roads, suspension, tyres and nerves would give out first!

Yeah now that i thought about it i think I'll leave the center stand ass it would be annoying to put it back on should i need to change tires or work on the bike. Maybe i'll shave off a bit off the rubber stopper just to raise it a little bit.

Personally the only customization worth doing to her or that needs to be done would be to put in better tires n hid lights. And in my case an alarm anti theft. They rob/steal bikes a lot in my country. And when i park in addition to the alarm i also put a padlock on the rear sprocket. *important* should u do that always remember to take off the padlock before getting on the bike. I've forgotten n taken off with it twice on my speed 200. The second time ended up ripping the chain cover off lol

Oh yeah one last thing: better mirrors. I put a smaller version of the tx mirrors. Makes going between cars a breeze compared to the stock mirrors

My wife is 5'1" tall, and can just get her toes on the ground on both sides when sitting on the Keeway. She couldn't quite do that well on the Tiger Boxer 250RS. Has anyone here looked at lowering the Keeway at all?

The wife is also a short arse and when she picked her bike up the store had dropped the forks slightly and taken some of the stuffing out of the seat. It worked well but I have since altered the forks back to standard as the missus said the riding position was not that comfortable as she got more pressure on her wrists and it also exacerbated the low headlight setting. She now manages alright but is still on tiptoes but that is not going to change any time soon I guess, ps the headlight beam is now fine at night after altering the lights thanks to sic103's advice!

About the height.... Maybe there's no need to alter the height just yet. Sometimes changing something causes other problems like the one on the above post. Give her some time with the bike til she gets used to it. Here we have a lot of people on the shorter side that ride big bikes with great ease. Well my two cents.... My country is quite backwards. Aftermarket parts are scarce n very limited so we buy n adapt to it.

Hi there....

I am from Mauritius and I have had an RKV200S for a couple of months now...4500km...and no major problems so far....Only the digital speedo stopped working for couple of weeks...and started to work again by magic, just like that.....I have done couple of Mods so far, but no big deal...majorly visual...and only the front sprocket (from 13T to 14T)...and I removed the airbox cover (Love the sound it makes when I open the throttle!!!!!!!XD).. Will post some pics soon...Just wanted to get some advice on other Mods I could make for better Top speed and better overall perforamance....I've been thinking about changing the front again to 15T.....what else could I do???Cheers!!!

What size handles are those? Been thinking about getting rid of the counterweights to shorten the handles bars for better lane splitting. Though i do like the stock handles. The street fighter logo came with bike?

The handles are standard size...I didn't like the stock ones...too rigid...I got rid of the counterweights too when I swapped the handlebars (lower, longer & lighter)... You might experience some vibration...But with my new handle bar and counterweights off, Much better handling (makes steering easier).....No the Logo is tailor made.....

FWIW this bike might be the exception to the rule "you get what you pay for". I mean you still kinda get what you pay for, it's not the most powerful bike in the world, nor the prettiest. But it's also not a total piece of s*** like so many other Chinese-brand bikes.

Talked to one owner who previously had various big bikes in the USA, a long time rider - he absolutely loves his Keeway 200. He said it's his most favorite bike ever because it's so small and light, easy to get around on. And no major issues at least not that he'd have mentioned.

When I say counterweights , I'm reffering to the bar ends which are pretty heavy on this bike...they serve as both crash mushrooms and vibration reducers.....

Totally agree with you...Get still some good quality & finish for a low price....My only concern is its durability....but that,only time will tell...To tackle that, i am trying to upgrade the most parts I can (replacing with japanese parts)...For now, I have found that some suzuki parts are a direct fit.....

On my other Keeway the speed 200 (i think it's called rkIII 200 for the rest of the world- the older model with the round headlights) i got rid of the counter n changed the grips to a similar slip on because it came with the real cheap stocks. Shortened the length n made splitting easier. Im able to squeeze through cars where my with my rkv200 i would have to stop. what i didn't like about the after market grip is that it was also thin n it shifts a bit. I like the stock grips on my rkv200. It's thick n grippy. Is just the length due to the counter.

I'm waiting for the rk600 to come out in my freaking country. To what i been told it's already in the country assembled n all but they are waiting for prices/inflation to raise more before releasing it to the public. so I got my fingers crossed n hope it's not expensive because i already paid way too much for my rkv200 (28000000 bsf ~ $4444) n I've had it roughly over 2 months n price already went up $5555.......

What's the price for a rkv200 n the rk6 in the rest of the world?

IIRR the RKV200 is 59,000 Baht in Thailand. Thats about 1886 US-Dollar.

We don't have the rk6 here.

Lol yeah i needed that. Oh you guys don't get the rk6 over there. I wanted to get a rough estimate of how much the rk6 would cost. $1600 was the price i paid for my rkIII200 back in 2011. This disparity makes me want to return to Canada.

its called Benelli instead of Keeway in Thailand, largely ignored by all the foreigners here but quite a few Thais bought them. A 4 inline for the price of a kawa er6

Thank you. It's the one from the second link. Man that's about $8000+ us. Hmmm almost twice what i paid for the rkv200 so should be around twice to 3 times assuming they let it out soon......

In case you haven't got a reply, Mityon is the Keeway dealer for Pattaya (3rd Rd and Pattaya Tai). The staff I spoke with does not know too much about the product and they have the bikes at different Mityon branches. I found several Keeways at the branch at the corner of Thepprasit and Sukhumvit (northwest corner).

Can anyone give me the address of a Keeway dealer in Pattaya I have been all through the topic and had a look on the Keeway website and cannot see one....cheers!

I ended up buying mine from the Chinese bike shop you mention on Threpasit/Suk and another from the Sym dealer in Rayong, went to a few Mityons in Pattaya but never saw any Keeway bikes and the staff where all a bit useless and unhelpful so their loss really
