ok guys i need an answer to this question please , only from you in the know as i dont want to be listening to false info. my wife has been in uk now for 4 years and 4 months on EEA family permit. we have 3 year old daughter together who was born here in uk with uk passport. my wife has a 5 year resident stamp of which is valid untill march 2013. think she can then apply for LTR .

everything has went tits up for me here in uk, lost my job offshore and few other problems which i dont want to go into, basically we want to go back to thailand for a few years ok. here,s the million dollar question - if my wife takes our child to thailand now and doe not return to uk for say 4-5 years, then she tries to return to uk , can she board a flight ? can uk border agency stop her from entering uk ( bear in mind mother cannot be seperated from daughter ) what would the senario be if my wife were to go back to thailanbd now for 5 years then later try to return to uk with the child. if she will have problems what could we do to get her back into uk.

just need as simple an answer to this as possible please.

thanks in advance

I think she will need to get a new EEA FP. But, that should be fairly simple as long as you are still a couple when she applies. I have doubts that she will just be able to get on a plane to the UK, and having a British child won't help. The argument that mother cannot be separated from daughter won't work, as daughter is actually with her in Thailand - they are together.
