Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
I've decided I'm going to File a return for this year (Have filed previously & already have a TIN so can do it all online). My original thinking was that I have approx. 8K in withheld tax that I can claim back, but now I'm thinking I'll remit enough money so I'll break even or have a small (couple hundred THB max) Tax liability. TBH I need the cash & taking it out of my fixed deposit accounts would cost me more so it makes sense to me.- 1

Horrific Bus Fire in Thailand Sparks National Debate on Safety
There is no safety in Thailand, it's all lip service, like boards at construction sites saying safety first and the first thing you see is a man dangling on a rope with no harness or helmet. With the now exposed corruption of bribes paid for over weight trucks and trailers to continue their journeys and this latest tradegy with inspectors taking bribes the rotten core of officials is sickening. -

Boris Johnson Suggests Putin Would Have Avoided Invading Ukraine if Trump Were President
If people would take the trouble not to blindly believe what television and newspapers tell them all day long, if they would take the trouble to read history..., they would realize that this war, tragic as it is, could be avoided, but above all that Ukraine will never win it! I can already hear the cries of protest, but I don't care, because I'm telling the truth. -

British National Killed in Sattahip Motorcycle Accident
For too many riders it’s about speed, exploring the limits around bends, using all the road etc. If we drove our cars that way, we’d be called idiots. -

Who said bars wernt making money?
There seems to be an increase in the last year of new bars that are for sale within a month or two of opening. -

This whole story starting with the crash and finishing with compensation and probably who gets prosecuted boils down to corruption and money -

Parents Demand 1.21M Baht Compensation for Children They Didn’t Raise
How on earth does having additional insurance cover mean "stricter safety protocols"? All it actually means is next time, the government won't have to pay out as much.
