I live in Chiang Mai, and when I checked my usual venders for a copy of the 12 - 18 May edition of "The Economist" I was told by one "problem" and another "banned". I checked on-line and there was only one article about Thailand; it was critical about some aspects of government in a reasoned manner, but was not in any way seditious or disrespectful of the Monarchy. I won't go into greater detail because I don't want this post deleted.

I'm just curious, did any copies make it to Bangkok or other places before the ban, or did this edition never make it to the magazine racks in Thailand?

Thaivisa has a current policy of no discussion of Uncle SMS due to the sensitivity of the subject and the LM laws which is what that issue of The Economist is about.
