Mother and Daughter street beggars detained by Pattaya Police on Walking Street

PATTAYA:--People on Walking Street in South Pattaya complained to Pattaya Police regarding a woman, who appeared constantly drunk who was accompanied by a young child who would be seen begging for money while her mother sat nearby drinking Thai Whisky.

Police detained the woman, Khun Pigoon aged 39 and her 8 year old child in the early hours of Friday, and began by confirming that she was the biological mother of the child. Khun Pigoon appeared intoxicated and the child appeared to be in good condition despite working on the streets late at night.

Khun Pigoon confirmed her child would make between 200 and 300 Baht every night and some would be used to purchase Thai Whisky and a small portion would be given to her daughter to purchase food.

Very sad for her and the little girl, but certainly better for the child until her Mum gets her feet back on the ground.
