Before anyone says anything, yes of course I checked the weather report. Looks dismal... But then if you look at the Chiang Mai weather report it doesn't look good either but the fact is that in between the rain are some beautiful periods of time during the day. I've been in Phuket during rainy season a few times and there are times during the day when there is nice sunshine and the day is quite beautiful for walking, swimming, etc.

So, we're leaving tomorrow night, spending the first day in the city and then to Kata for a couple of days and then.....who knows.....and I am curious what to expect.

Last days have been good, lots of sun with an occasional shower, today looks dismal.

Dismal for sure today. Despite stevenl's report I would say dismal this last week.

My lawn cut (in Rawai) this week is taking a 'full week' to do!! I'm doing it in 3 stages:

1) During the main part of the day - too hot and sunny, so staying out of the sun.

2) When it's raining - can't mow lawn

3) After hot and sunny, can do a little before number 2 comes back.

Pretty changeable, to say the least, but very pleasant right now, in my opinion.
