Car Insurance Sticker

Featured Replies

Hi. I've just renewed my compulsory insurance and tax.

Usually I get 2 stickers yo put on the windscreen but this time only have the one. I went to the depaetmwnt of transport this time as my car had had lpg added.

Is it only required to show the tax syicker now?

According to my wife yes, We renewed the insurance this month and like you received only the printed policy, no sticker.

The requirement for showing compulsory insurance (Por Lor Bor) on your wind screen was stopped a few years ago and as such no sticker is issued anymore. Now, to pay for your road tax you must have proof of insurance so in affect the Tax sticker on your wind screen serves as proof of insurance.

The stickers they give now are only for 1st class etc. They do save time if you call them with an accident.

car insurance stickers are not required or supplied any more.

As mentioned you have to prove insurance before you get the tax sticker.

Most insurance company's supply insurance (advertising) stickers with the phone number on it which you can use in case of a accident.
