Vidic out until Christmas now,i had a feeling he would never get back to his best, important we give Smalling and Jones when fully fit game time also now as i think the partnership of Ferdinand Vidic is long gone.

Thankfully Rafeal has come on well and with Jones fit again soon can interchange between the two at full-back,Smalling is going to be the main man in the centre with Evans(still not 100% happy with Evans though)Buttner had a good debut and then the competition has given Evra a boost but still not the best defender, also Buttner looked shaky at Chelsea in the week.

What with our young goalkeeper its a miracle we are still up there...........then again we will score more goals than you is the United way!! biggrin.png

The good news is those two young C-Backs Keane and Shotton might also get a few run outs this season which will bring them on...also like to see more of this Blackett kid at full-back.

Gotta hand it to Sir.....his decision to spend the creative midfielder cash on the entire first line of referees has proven astute.

yeah but it's starting to get really obvious now. I mean, apart from the likes of Stoke, when are they gonna let 11 players in the opposition play against them.

How did that end only 2-1? Too many missed chances, certainly could have done with Webb in the middle today.

For an old song & dance man you sure need to freshen up your act & find some new material B.J. whistling.gif

Anyway another nice win against the Gunners.thumbsup.gif

travel, spot on same me,we should have had a hatfull but for some great saves and woeful finishing,we sit atop after not even hitting our strides.

Nice to see you're back in RAG Heaven Nev!

To be fair, Arsenal were woeful and Wenger tactics schoolboy. You should have put six past them. Believe me, i know. Spurs like to dominate a game, miss loads and then scrap a nervous win.

Not quite the same with Utd but if Cazorla had scored ten minutes earlier it could have been amusing

Let's just hope it doesn't come down to goal difference again this season eh lads. Should have won by a hatful, especially when they went down to 10. Anyway 6 points from the last two games against Chelsea and Arsenal is more than i had hoped for, so no complaints...

Putting aside the penalty miss, wasn't Rooney fantastic. Edged into best player of the Premiership so far this season for my money. Middle name should be industrious little bugger.

We have just been through a hard set of fixtures and come out at the top of the league, like nev says we still have not hit top form and have a few more players back now.

Agree rix Rooney is playing deeper and being industrious thumbsup.gif always new he would end up in the midfield and good to see Anderson come on.

Good weekend when the only other teams to win were Norwich Wigan and Villa biggrin.png

As Sir A said.

It was a strange game.

Lots of yellow cards, but not really a hard game in that sense.

The ref started to issue yellows for everything, and had to continue to be consistent.

Even a step on a toe was given a yellow.

Yes it did get that way. I think SAF could see that and hence the decision to take off Cleverly. Always used to be Rooney that you had to worry about that sort of thing.

Lots of positive signs in a match that never reached great heights.Cleveley's energy in mid field is something that's been missing and hopefully he will have greater confidence to add some goals to his kit bag. As Rivalex pointed out the transformation of Rooney ,now minus re mist, to an attacking midfielder role is a major plus but his penalty taking record is absymal.Surely VP record is far superior.

Expect a totally different team v Braga mid week with only 1 more point required.Expect Hernandes and Wellbeck to lead the line.SAF is using the squad rotation very well. Watched the Chelsea game and their play makers are looking tired and its only November.

Not sure about Rooney's penalty taking record being abysmal. Last couple of seasons he has had a few misses, that's true, but in general, feel he's a pretty strong penalty taker. Perhaps RVP should be our number one taker, but Rooney would be a strong number two.

Bit surprised to not see Welbeck even on the bench last night. Assume he was just being rested.

Shame we don't have a decent dead ball specialist in midfield these days. Always seems a bit of a shame to me when Rooney and RVP take corner kicks. Could really use them being in the box.

Heard that Micheal Keane and Jess Lingard have joined Leicester City on loan, be a good move for the pair if true.

... and Brady to Hull City, all confirmed on Official MUFC site.

Santos should of been given a yellow for asking for RVP's shirt half way through the match.

Trading celebrity shirts would be the only way Santos would make money from football if I were the manager!

Well guys been using that new GMM Satellite Box now for around 10 days now ? I must say i'm loving it over Truevision as it has MUTV also has 10 English Channels but that's fine for me really but if your a big Manchester United fan like myself you must have a look at it you get all the latest games from under 21's & 18's and live same time back in the UK plus first team live radio coverage on match days and press conferences for each game and more plus some really good documentaries about the club and players past and present .. also not bad for 800 per month even in England it would cost sometime like £6.00 per month .. Just thought i'll lets you guys know .
