I am all for throwing the weaklings in our squad to the dogs(the press), name and shame them i say, might wake them up to reality and that theyneed to put in shift like everyone else, this just collateral damage we are at war.

haha. your manager doesn't look much like he's at war. unless it's like the vietnam war and he's just off his mash on opium.

United the better side first half but great call by Marriner over the "penalty".  Should have been a booking for simulation.

Please beat them mind.....

Should have referred it to the video ref. :passifier:

Was funny listening to Viv Anderson and Dwight Yorke whinging on BeIn.

Happy with Uniteds performance played well and dominated throughout, deserved the three points but it wasn,t to be,if the ref did not deem it a penalty then it should have been a booking but he <deleted> up,never mind we have plenty of trophies in the cabinet to allow the others to try and catch up

Its just a game after all.....not life and death

you cannot interfere with a player like that in the box, if he hadn't touched him then nothing but he did and got nothing of the ball.......  red or yellow card............ you can spin it whatever way you like ........ it was a penalty

Now we all see this stuff on replay and in slowmo which can make any foul look tame....this was not tame - he brought him down, and not only should it have been a foul and a penalty but also a red card

slow motion makes it all look like a dull moment - but it wasn't

and I speak from a base of honesty - I see what I see ...........and I saw that

you cannot interfere with a player like that in the box and expect to get away with it.......never

anyway - after doing all the hard work they just couldn't keep the ball for 5 mins - now that is worth discussing

It was an obvious penalty anyone watching would agree, however the man in charge said no so that,s an end to it,we have been given "soft" penalties in the past so maybe its time to even up

Ball retention is a problem that-in my humble opinion-will only improve with a settled side and this may take some time, the football we are playing is much better and is appreciated by the fans, given time the results will reflect this.

I liked maureens reply when asked about the penalty,it was diplomatic but clearly got his opinion over, lets hope he continues in this way

Obvious penalty my arse.  Should have been a yellow for simulation.  The days of the obvious United penalties went with Ferguson's retirement. And as for Mourinho, he's spent the last eighteen months whining about every decision that goes against him because he's bust flush and deep inside, he knows it.  he's become a specialist in the blame game.

Any idea which United player he's publicly going to throw under the bus next?

Hmm, so i presume you agree then!

you see, Marriner had a clear view and waved it away immediately a sprinted off.  Sprinted off completely forgetting why he'd just instantly waved play on.  Which was basically because the United player went down like a crack whore and in doing so warranted a yellow.

btw, i think it might be Rojo who's his next target:ph34r:

Is that taken from experience?

Seems like your jumping on that bus carmine with your anti Mourinho comments or maybe you know he will get it right at United eventually and are a little concerned if he does!

A very good organized performance from us yesterday and we controlled a very good side for long periods of the game with a few still out injured,it was there only effort on goal and Giroud took it well..... unfair? yes! but acceptable in our current position and the performance was a good one so i think most Reds will find it positive that we are looking to be more compact in the midfield and defence.

I'm not 100% in agreement with you that it was "A very good organized performance" but you were certainly better than an underperforming on the day Arsenal team.

And maybe the "underperforming" was due to the fact that United did not sit back and let Arsenal play

OK lets accept it was an improved performance.  Not doubting that but nothing to shout home about.  I think tactically Wenger got it wrong and against your suspect defense he should have gone for the jugular from the start.  He didn't and as you say United took control for long spells.  But what did you actually do with the possession?  Not much...

I have fears that Mourinho will fail, not get it right,  because i think United will come after our manager as soon as he's gone.  Thats it really. Its a bit of a no brainer.

He's fast tracking down the same route as he did at RM and Chelsea.  Littles changed.  Team mates friendly with Shaw and Smalling probably already despise him and the squad as a whole won't trust him, fearing any one of them could be next for public criticism.  I see little signs of him getting anything right and i doubt many United fans do either.  Mindyou, atleast he's started playing Carrick.  And we all know he was just being a stubborn <deleted> for not doing that in the first place.

Might i remind you that the squad he's suggesting is not good enough was in fact tipped to title challenge at the start of the season!!

We shall see MrEd but i think you are kidding yourself.

Well with a makeshift defence, again, I think ,most United fans would see that display as a step forward and if young Rashford ,the fastest player on the pitch had got back to prevent the cross they would be even happier, learning curve for him. One shot on goal ,one goal for Arsenal, thats football.

For me the penalty was 50/50 there's only 2 people that know and neither were the referee or linesman.Does Valencia have a history of going down easily ?I dont remember.

Most worrying thing again, for me, was the lack of goals for United who dominated most of the game.

Mata, Rashford,Martial and Rooney have accumulated only 8 goals between them in the league all season, thats not going to get you in the top 4.

Carmine, you must stop worrying about MU they will still be there long after you have left the building.Tipped to challenge for the league, by who which tabloid ?

The book makers for starters.  Within the media it was a widespread view.

It wasn't 50/50.   It was a pathetic dive by your player.  It warranted a yellow card.

van Gaal's side had loads of possession too.  So what.  It means nothing when theres no visible game plan.

Nice shout too by Mourinho the other day be announcing to the media that Shaw is fit to play then promptly leaving him out of the squad.  That'll do the lads confidence a power of good.

Valencia is not a diver,he,s a strong lad as his effort in trying to shake off the tackle initially clearly shows, definite penalty.

Mourinho is the manager and he alone decides his squad,Shaw ducked out of the previous game with what? no one knows,as for confidence its up to him to wait for his next opportunity then perform consistently so the manager has no reason to leave him out again.....simple.

As for your continued attacks on Mourinho will you please enlighten me as to what manager Spurs have had in the past 50 years has ever won the Premiership/Football league as I must have missed him.

Valencia is clearly not a diver because he made a dreadful attempt at that one!  And when the day comes when a referee awards a spot kick for that i think i'll just stop watching the game.  Marriner's not perfect but he's much too capable a ref to be mugged off by that one.

I think you are confusing modern times to the Ferguson era when you were awarded everything,  no matter how ridiculous.
