Peanut Butter (natural Style) In Pattaya?

Featured Replies

OK, Foodland no longer seems to be stocking this stuff.

They have the Skippy stuff crammed with sugar and artificial junk, but what I am looking for is the natural kind that only contains peanuts and salt.

Last time I was in Villa Sukhumwit Bangkok, they had it, but is it available anywhere in Pattaya?

since when did peanuts "naturally" have salt?

Have you thought of making your own? Use a pestle and mortar.

Why didn't I think of that?

I could grow my own peanuts too.

And start a mortar and pestle factory.

Salt unnatural?

Ever try Thai food without fish sauce?

Yuck.

Thaiquila,

All Natural Peanut Butter is available at Friendship Supermarket on Pattaya Tai. Check the condiments aisle.

A woman that owns a health food store in Chiang Mai told me that no matter what is on the label, most of the "health foods" made in Thailand are full of lard, white flour, sugar and msg and are much more expensive than simular "non-natural" foods which are exactly the same thing.

Enjoy! :o

I used to make peanut butter in my blender which also had a chopper container. I would have to add some oil, but it came out pretty god, although a little grainy. At least I knew exactly what was in it.

For waht it's worth, best peanut butter in the world -- and completely natural -- is made by a small cottage industry NGO in Cambodia called HealthLand. Inexpensive, too. Not available in Thailand to my knowledge but if you're ever in Phnom Penh, stock up. Comes in creamy and crunchy.

(If you're really into it, see if you can get a local shop to import it. It's easily expost quality.)
