Lannatyne
There's a proper (allegedly!) childrens dentist in Phuket Town - somewhere around the junction of Sengho Bookshop, if I recall correctly. Horrible place and horrible woman destist we saw. She shouted at my child to 'behave' in the chair. Surprisingly, her manner didn;t have the desired effect. So, I wouldn't recommend that one. Many will 'speak as you find' and that's fair enough. The one I've found to be friendly, and very un-frightening, for my child is Dente Smile on Chao Fa West, just past the Kwang Road junction. Not cheap, but everyone's happy at the end of it all.

I think it's called Family Dental Clinic or something of that ilk. They even showed Mr Bean on the TV above the chair. Maybe Lannatyne has a very naughty child! Yanitha
I suggest "Green Dent". It's located oppersite the Bang Neaw School. Difficult to find the parking lot but the doctor's kind and gentle
sportsman69
I can definitely recommend Dr Prasert Theplaong, better known by his nick, Dr. Ood. Iv'e known him for about 15 years and in that time he has fixed all dental requirements of my close family who come from OZ as well as many friends from OZ also, just to go to him. I know people with kids that get begged, when are we going to Dr. Ood again he's Mr.no pain, we like him. I'm sure even fiddlehead, who's a member here, will support me on this, that's how I met him. Even for people with no teeth like me he makes great undetectable dentures too. Make sure your appointment is with the man himself. Easy to find. Go to BBK Phuket hospital, but don't drive in, his surgery is on the RH corner of the entrance with a big smiley dial out front Park in the ex Shell servo 20 meters on or footpath. Tel. 076 - 255 336. Please tell him Stafford sent you. Google phuketdentalcenter if you wish B T W his Brother Dr. Prasit is an excellent ENT specialist. Edit. No I'm not in for a cut, just trying to recommend the best. He was offered a position to manage the dental dept. of the Royal Adelaide Hospital but declined because of his love for Thailand ( and no doubt tax reasons ) Phuket's gain.
