The companies that I have worked for recently have all placed an increasing emphasis on the TOEIC test.

Does anyone have any suggestions about the best way to learn to teach this particular offshoot of English study?

Start here http://www.ets.org/ to learn more about the actual testing, lots of toeic course books to choose from ( I use Longmans toeic prep series). The problem you will find is most students wont even be ready to study for the toeic. Its def not the toefl or ielt but still very difficult for thais in general. Give them some reading and listening assessments and go from there, if you cant sit down with them and have a general conversation they are not ready. It is nice to see more people here being realistic and not wanting to jump right into toefl or ielt as the toeic is def a good springboard for further english studies.
