What Visa should i enter Thailand on? Once in Thailand I will be applying for the Ed visa? Is the Visa exempt ok? or should I get Tourist Visa? cheers!

An ED-visa would thus be best, if you cna get paperwork from the school.

if not, it depends where you are comming from. if you are not in Asia itself, best is t get a torist visa, as when you travel by air to thailand the airline can request to see a visa OR a ticket out of Thailand within 30 days. Soem airline s are very strict with this, some are not.

Im coming from Australia and I will be applying fo rthe visa asap from my thai langauge school when I arrive, just wondering if the 1 month i will be grated will be enough time or if I should enter on a 60 day? think to be safe I will enter on 60 day.

You will have to apply for an ED-visa in a neighbouring country.

Comming from Australia, you might have trouble with the airline so best is to get a tourist visa.

I think the airline will be okay, they must see the entry exit stamps in my passport and let me through, I enter every month and haven't showed exit ticket before. Is it possible to apply for the ed visa from your home country? I.e Australia?

Yes, you can apply in Australia for the ED-visa. But would require some paperwork from the school. Contact both school and consulate where you will apply to see what you need and if the school can supply.

If doing monthly you likely have an exit ticket so travel not an issue - it often becomes an issue when you try to travel one-way without a visa as airlines does not want to risk fine and transporting you out if refused entry..

You can apply for an ED-visa at your home country, but you can also do it in BKK (no need to leave the country). Keep in mind though that you need, at least, 21 days left on your current visa to be able to apply for an ED-visa while in Bangkok, so if you want to do it here better have a 60-day tourist visa since it will take time for the language school to do the paperwork also.

As Mario2008 suggests, in case you want to apply in Autralia you need to probably pre-pay your course to the language school and they will supply some paperwork proving you will be a student there. It might sound easier to apply for the visa there, but I must say that getting the ED-visa in BKK is also not as hard as it sounds.

Most Thai language school paperwork will not allow conversion inside Thailand from my understanding and a visit to a Consulate will indeed be required in such a case.
