ABAC poll: Most people believe House Speaker clip to become cause of conflict in Pheu Thai

BANGKOK, 8 July 2012 (NNT) - The ABAC Poll Research Center, Assumption University, revealed the results of a survey in which citizens were asked what they have gained from various political forums being held.

The survey was conducted with citizens aged 18 years or older in 17 provinces. It was discovered that 72.1% of those questioned were aware that the political forums being held at present are in support of, or opposition against, constitutional amendment. At the same time, 59.2% of the respondents stated that those forums, in their opinion, were held to lend support to or go against the drafting of the reconciliation bill. Of those surveyed, 77.2% shared their belief that the political forums of various political groups can be seen as power struggles, and 74.5% were of the belief that these forums are to the advantage of those who hold them and their associates.

However, 53.5% of the surveyed people believed that the audio clip featuring the House Speaker giving a political speech would cause conflict within the Pheu Thai party, while 46.5% thought it would not.

Now lets see here the survey was only taken in 17 provinces. How many had a red shirt village how many of them were mainly interested in setting up a independent Muslim state with Shari law.

Of the over 18 How many had a collage degree how many of them never went to school. In short just another Poll fast becoming the national pastime.

Thailand the hub of nonsensical poles. What do you want to believe we will take a poll to prove that the majority of the people approve of it or disapprove of it depending on the results you want.

There's only one question we want to know the answer to.

"In light of the current social and political climate do you want Thaksin to return to Thailand as a free man? Yes or No."

Another nonsensical poll.

In a survey conducted on Saturday evening during my garden barbeque, 9 out of 10 adults believe that the polls conducted in Thailand are too vague and wishy washy. The other was too drunk to reply.

I was cross-eyed and my mouth hanging open when I finished reading the survey results....of course that could be from too much Chang beer last night.

I agree with much of what you say. I used to do surveys for a company in the UK which did mainly social surveys. British Crime Survey for the Home Office and for the Education ministry on careers training as examples. I'm not a statistician and wasn't involved in putting the surveys together but I'm sure they were done better than this. Maybe there's just not enough money to do it properly.

Just one thing

Thailand the hub of nonsensical poles.

What have Polish nationals got to do with it (nonsensical or otherwise). laugh.png

Didn't bother to read all the post as I thought there were more than that. Seems like others have noticed before me.

In polling, the devil is in the details.

Pick a result, ask the properly phrased question directed at the people you want the correct answer and you have a "poll".

Never give people a choice, "Yes" or "No" is too confusing.
