Where To Buy Material To Make A Fish Weigh Sling?

I'm sad to relate that many years ago we weren't controlled by the fish conservation rules in place today. We put hundreds of kilos of fillets into freezers for many to eat for the next six months or so.

This picture is of a days catch of Spangled Emperor from one boat:

Limit these days is about 7 fish and it's hard to get them!

What was the average weight of the fish, they look small in the picture but i know they grow to a decent size

What was the average weight of the fish, they look small in the picture but i know they grow to a decent size

They can grow to over 8 kgs.

Ours would have averaged less than half that.

Ever thought of using a canvas bag with a few holes in the bottom to drain the water?

Or even use something like this?

Not really suitable for fish up to 100kgs

Where do you catch fish larger than 2KG in Pkuket, all the ones i have seen caught the largest would weight 500GM

That's wild fish i am talking about
