Everyone but the postman... poor girl if true story

Horrible if true but what a string of bad luck. Her father, the taxi driver who she went to for help and three policemen ... smells off to me.

...if true, she must be a little weak upstairs.

Is that image over at the top of the article on the Pattaya Daily News really necessary given the gravity of the story?

Really...why that photo?

Why indeed? The story is sick enough (if true) already without the seedy brushed out photo. Do they have the accused on tape or are they breaking some porno company's copyright?

Mr. Sinlapachai Kenpa, authority of the Ministry of Social development and Human Security, brought “Miss Jane”(alias), age 15, a ninth grade student of a Patumthani school, to the Nongsuea police station to notify police that she had been repeatedly raped...

she didnt go straight to the police?

she reported it in the first place to the ministry? ...thats bold, somehow...

I think if it did happen as she has told it, her confidence in the police wouldn't be very good would it?

From what I have read this girl/young lady has/or living a free style life, and loose without guidence.

She needs to be taken into care, and given some stability - sounds like a very negative family problem, OR something of the like.

Loose or not, whoever has taken advantage of her should have to face charges.

NO excuse to the perverts who have done acts-BUT at 15 (it is only a number) at that age appearences can deceive, if she is well developed as many girls are, (even bar girls) some people do not ask for i.d. cards if they get the chance for a bit on the side. But the law is the law and persons have to be careful with selection. AS I SAID earlier, in this case it sounds like she should be in care and protected for her own sake.

I hope this is not true and simply turns out to be a story of a girl who was scared of the punishment her father would hand out for staying out all night.

She's thai.. not Australian.

Thai parents don't punish their children for bad behaviour???

Well that's not true. Domestic violence including fathers severely beating both sons and daughters and wives too is rampant in this country.

Referrence: Section 277 of The Thai Penal Code:

"WHOEVER has sexual intercourse with a girl
not yet over fifteen years of age
and not being his own wife, whether such girl shall consent or not, shall be punished with imprisonment of four to twenty years and fined between Bt8,000 to Bt40,000. "If the commission of the offence according to the first paragraph is committed against a girl
not yet over thirteen years of age
, the offender shall be punished with imprisonment of seven to twenty years and fine of Bt14,000 to Bt40,000 or imprisonment for life. "If the commission of the offence according to the first of second paragraph is committed by participation of persons in the nature of raping and/or murdering a girl, or by using weapons or explosives, the offender shall be punished with imprisonment for life."

Title IV Section 279

" Whoever commits an indecent act on a
child not over thirteen years of age
, with or without herconsent, shall be punished with imprisonment not exceeding ten years or fine not exceedingtwenty thousand baht, or both.

Section 8 of the " Prostitution Prevention and Suppression Act " states

" Whoever, for sexual gratification of that person or of the third person, commits sexual intercourseor any other act against a person
who is over fifteen (15) years but not yet over eighteen (18) yearsof age
, with or without his or her consent, in a place for prostitution, shall be punished withimprisonment of one to three years and a fine of twenty thousand to sixty thousand baht.If the commission of the offence as specified in the first paragraph is committed against
a child not over fifteen (15) years of age
, the offender shall be punished with imprisonment of two to six yearsand a fine of forty thousand to one hundred and twenty thousand baht.

Edit: Obviously there are probably other laws on the books too but these were the relevant ones I could find. I also think they may have revised the law to include males instead of only referring to her or wife.

So in Thailand you get more time in prison for smoking some weed then having sex with an under age child! go figure.

If she did not go to the hospital for a rape kit then she has to be lying!

The sick attitude of some of the posters in this topic disgusts me. Cruel and damning posts about which some people know nothing, such as these, should be deleted by admin. If this girl has been assaulted by her father and the police then it would make perfect sense that she not report it to the police or visit the hospital. How could she when she's been violated by those who are supposed to be the most trustworthy authorities in her life?

It is a reasonable proposition that the young girl in question would seek out some volunteer work with the police in the hope of establishing some form of reliable and supportive relationship with an officer or department to whom she might report this abuse. Obvioulsy that failed and she turned to a separate authority.

Have some empathy for God's sake. The girl is a troubled soul who needs help, love and support. If she was a liar and a scammer then surely the accusation would be directed at someone of importance or fame in the hope of gaining some financial reward and the report would have been made at a prominant media outlet to gain publicity.

The more that comes out, The more it looks like she is a very disturbed girl that is looking for some attention. And her 15 minutes of fame. this case will go nowhere.

How many local women/girls do you know that aren't a 'little' weak upstairs?

and how many local men/BOYS do you know that wouldn't be more than happy to take advantage of them, or well, anyone weak looking really???

get out much do you??

It could also be a 'drug-related' problem. It's likely that some or all of her attackers were drunk.

Also, 15 years old, in Thailand, is 14 years old in farang years. Thai kids are 1 year old when they're born.

They count their "day of birth" as their first birthday, which actually makes sense. I remember having a party for what I thought was my 42nd birthday and they had 43 on the cake.

I stopped drinking soon after that as I didn't think I could afford any more missing years...........sad.png

If she was being molested by her father at a young age then that would explain a lot. Children are very impressionable and something like that will mess them up for life without proper counseling and guidance.

It's no wonder why so many girls that were molested as children end up in the sex industry. This is true the world over.

My kids are thai (1/2 anyways) as well as my wife (100%) and their age are correct. Thais do tend to jump a year after new years. So if you are say 4 1/2 and it's after New Years they will say they are 5.

Also, we have a young girl (family of wife) that stays with us and helps with the baby. She is 17. Her birthday is in December. If you ask her right now how old she is she will say 17. I just asked here when she will start saying she is 18 and she said after her birthday in December.

At 15 she is a child. Yes, disturbed. Yes, in need of attention ... and guidance, love, support, protection and shelter. Who has provided her with this. Call her "street-wise", "attention-seeking", "feral" or what you will. She is a product of what society has provided her and my comment stands. To dismiss her actions as some have done here is disgusting.

Curious as to why this article is written by the Pattaya Daily. Not enough going on in town? Have to find perverse sex crimes from other Provinces to publish?

This wasn't a story...it was a total rape job....oh I mean the article itselfcheesy.gif
